Danielle Martineau is a registered yoga and dance instructor, who is pursuing her 500 hour with Patty Townshend at Embodyoga. She has been teaching yoga since 2012. Practicing the art of dance for the last twenty years she's trained in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, and hip hop while being involved in musical theatre and performace in the Boston area. For the last five years, Danielle studied middle-eastern dance and flamenco, performing with the local troupe Body Wave and studying with the local teachers Ines Arubla, Sharon Arslanian and Sahina as well as taking workshops with Zoe Jakes, Ashley Lopez, and Ruby Beh. She has a passion for integrating the art of movement with therapy and attended Smith College for Social Work, obtaining her masters in social work. She currently is an outpatient therapist for children and youth in Westfield Massachusetts. She is in the beginning stages of incorporating her knowledge of mental health into her yogic studies.
